Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous as the character Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales & the short lived NBC show with the same name; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Swanson is a native of California. She began acting at a very young age. Her career began in the advertising industryappearing in a variety of commercials. The first time she appeared on screen in 1984 in an NBCs It's Your Time episode. She made her screen debut in 1986 on a romantic comedy called Pretty in Pink. Swan gained notoriety for her lisp of blonde and the breathless sound of her voice. In recent years, she's moved between main characters and side ones. In 1989, she was honored with her Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
