Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress who is best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The actress began her career in the late 1980s, and rose into prominence thanks to her character in the Tezaab film, where she starred with an established actor Anil Kapoor. The next film she appeared in was Dil in which she shared screen space with Aamir. Her birthplace was in an Mumbai middle-class family, and began to dance in her early years. While still a teenager she tried her hand at acting, but the majority of her early movies failed. Then she found her way to success and then was one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. She took a break from her career due to her marriage, before going back to the world of entertainment. More recently she played an important part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women living in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. Her social work is also popular.
